  • Scarecrows must be handmade - not purchased.

    • Construction tips:

      • Plastic bags make good stuffing.

      • Scarecrows should contain some visible straw or hay.

      • Accessories make a big difference, but must be securely fastened to resist high winds, rain, and vandalism.

      • The scarecrow could be representative of your business, organization or family. As part of your display, be sure to make a sign with the name of your entry, along with your name, group, or organization name. Your sign should be no larger than 11x17 inches.

  • You may build your entry on site (storefront).

  • Entries must be freestanding (or sitting). Our committee is not responsible for anything damaged or lost.

  • Participants agree to allow the use of names and photos to newspaper or social media use (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).

  • Entries must be removed by 10pm on November 9th. Remaining scarecrows will be disposed of.

  • Winners to be announced on Halloween.
