1st Annual Downtown Ball Ground Art Contest

Calling all K-12 artists Are you a student at Ball Ground Elementary School STEM Academy, Creekland Middle School or Creekview High School? Enter the #DTBG art contest! 2025 Downtown Ball Ground Art Contest Judging criteria: Creativity Originality Artistic skill Overall impact Artwork Requirements: Artwork = painting, drawing, digital art, photography Medium = oil paints, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, crayons, pencil, digital software Size = no larger than 24”x36” Originality = artwork must be original and not a copy of another artist’s work Previously created art is allowed but the creation date cannot exceed more than three years Submission Guidelines: Submit a quality jpeg (minimum 300 dpi) of your artwork to our Downtown Manager, Ashley, abyrd@cityofballground.com along with your name, grade, and homeroom teacher. Include an artist statement – explain your artwork’s concept or inspiration. Copyright: Contest entrants will retain copyright of all submitted work but grant the City of Ball Ground unlimited and indefinite permission to display submitted images on/in the city of Ball Ground, Downtown Ball Ground, and their socials. Top 5 artists for each grade will be displayed throughout downtown businesses for the second rounding of voting (public). Artists can opt to display their original artwork or Downtown Ball Ground will supply a printed version of the submitted art. The winning art piece for each age group will be enlarged, printed, laminated, and displayed throughout Downtown Ball Ground.
